Germany & Austria, your client´s next stop?
Germany and Austria are countries known for their history, distinct cuisine, and castles that inspired Disney.
Visitors to Germany are sure to want to see Berlin, the capital that was infamously divided by the Berlin Wall for almost four decades. Tiergarten is a key destination, encompassing the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate. Frankfurt, home to the European Central Bank, is a great place to arrive or depart from Europe, while Hamburg, the port city on River Elbe is another top city to discover.
Outside of the cities in Germany, destinations include the magical Black Forest, Zugspitze, the tallest mountain in Germany, and Neuschwanstein, the castle that inspired Disney. Rothenburg ob der Tauber is a preserved medieval town, while the neighbouring Nuremberg is famous for its Christmas Market, that has been traced back to the early 17th-century.
Vienna is home to about one-third of Austria's population and is known as the ‘City of Music’, with a strong history of music, theatre, and opera. The architecture throughout the city is spectacular, Schönbrunn Palace, Postsparkasse, and the Flak Towers are three examples.
Austria also has its fair share of beautiful landscapes and castles. Interlaken is an area between lakes Thun and Brienz are popular for swimming in the summer, and Grindelwald, Wengen, and Mürren are great for skiing in the winter, while Burg Hochosterwitz, a medieval castle located on a 172-meter-high rock, is worth seeing no matter the season.
