Japan, your client´s next stop?
When one thinks of Japan they may be conflicted between images of Harajuku girls in busy Tokyo streets and soft vistas of cherry blossoms foregrounding traditional architecture, with snowcapped peaks in the distance. Needless to say, Japan has it all.
The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. And although Tokyo is known for busy streets crammed with glowing signage, the Meiji Shrine and Imperial Palace are both historic sites offering tranqulity, each surrounded by forest and stunning landscaped gardens. To escape the crowds visitors could take a ferry from Tokyo to the subtropical Ogasawara Islands, where they will find jungle covered hills, beautiful beaches, and coral reefs.
Osaka, the second largest city in Japan is known for Osaka Castle, one of Japan's most famous landmarks, and Shitennō-ji one of the oldest Buddhist temples, dating back to 593. Minami (Namba) is great for food and shopping, with the Dōtonbori canal, its many neon lights reflected in the water, and famous moving signs like the Kani Doraku crab, making this a fun area for tourists.
Kyoto is most popular for its historic sites, being home to 20% of all Japan's cultrual treasures. Two top locations are the Fushimi Inari-taisha, the "head shrine" of the rice god Inari, with thousands of donated Torii, traditional red gates, and Kinkaku-ji, a gold leaf covered Zen temple and one of 17 locations making up the Historic Monuments of Ancient Kyoto.
